The Title Won't Fit In Here by ~Broadcraig:iconBroadcraig:

Stop reading The paper, Turn off Your TV!

Organic compounds
Placebo vitamin C
Scientists sit empty handed
Telling me what to eat,
So why was I born with a mind
Why was I born with thought?
I've eaten a thousand terrible things
The beat hasn't strayed in my heart.

Cofactor bio-molecules
Breaking metabolism
Enzymes and fatty acid
A nation in a planet sized prison,
So why was I born with a mind
So you could change it on newspaper day?
I've eaten a thousand terrible things
Because I'm going to die anyway.

I tried to write something that still had the hints of abstract experimental work I do...but still be a little accessible.

This is about the media, the government, telling you what to do. pork causes cancer one week, the next it's something else. We're all so stuck, glued to the TV adoring and believing every single fucking thing that comes from it that we are scared to do pretty much everything.

Live YOUR life, live it for you, not anyone else regardless of how important they are in your life or in the world. Life is short, enjoy it.

Thoroughly enjoyed this poem. Its almost as scientist are the "parents" of the world, telling us what we should and shouldn't do. very nice poem!

Ahahahah are you actually?

I can't see how being part of a collective people wanting to question and change things would ever be a bad thing

I think there are alot of higher beings in the world that we accept the opinion of without challenging.

I was being facetious sir, relax.. Conformity is not always what it is cracked up to be. If we didn't have some sort of dis-order then there would be no balance. Good vs. Bad.. they co-exist.

There's conformity in non-conformity.

It's all very strange!

Hmm true. But we seem to accept anything a scientist may say as fact.

I really enjoyed this. It has a nice rhyme and message. People become so wrapped up in the health magazines and dieting that it's like, "Hey, you aren't fat, eat whatever you want. Put down the pills and shove a slice of cake down your throat."
ENJOY LIFE, LIVE FOR LULZ.
